Using Prepaid/Gift Cards or Virtual Debit Cards

Can I use a prepaid/gift credit card or virtual debit cards for serial code/access key purchases or subscription fee payments?

Answer

Generally speaking, we can accept prepaid/gift credit cards provided that have a verifiable billing address and can accept a recurring billing charge (automatic billing). If the card you're trying to use meets both of these requirements, then it can be used for online serial code/access key purchases and game account subscription fees/charges.

Virtual Debit Cards (such as a Paypal® Virtual Debit Card, where card numbers are automatically generated at the time of purchase) can be used to make purchases as well, however, these types of cards most likely cannot be used to set up recurring billing.

Before using any of these types of cards for the account, we'd like to recommend that you read the card's Terms of Service documentation to determine whether the card can be used in this fashion (you may need to contact the card issuer for verification). Not all prepaid/gift credit cards or virtual debit cards will fit these criteria.

Additionally, most prepaid/gift cards need to be registered with your own name and billing address. These instructions are usually provided in the card's Terms of Service documents.
