Guide to Applying the Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa™ Serial Code

Answer

Once you have received your Pre-Order, Standard Edition, or Collector's Edition Serial Code for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa, you will do one of the following:

• Start a brand new account
• Upgrade your current Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa game account

The 20-digit pre-order serial code is located on the white paper insert in the Pre-Order Bonus Pack box. The insert is titled Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa SECURITY CODE. Please be aware that the serial code can only be used once.

The 20-digit Standard Edition or Limited Collector's Edition Serial Codes are located on the plastic credit card-sized insert in the game box.The insert is titled GAME ACTIVATION CARD.Please be aware that these serial codes can only be used once.

Registration

These instructions apply to Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Pre-Order, Standard Edition, and Limited Collector's Edition Serial Codes. If you do not have a PlayNC master account, please create one with the instructions in the Support Center article below.

PlayNC Master Account Creation

To CREATE a new game account:

1. Log into PlayNC Account Management
2. Click the Use a Serial Code link.
3. If you purchased your Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Standard Edition Serial Code online through your PlayNC master account, choose the option to use that serial code in the Purchased Serial Codes section and skip to Step 6.
4. If you have a serial code you received in a retail game box, select the A Standard PlayNC Code (20 digits) option.
5. Enter your serial code in the fields provided. You do not need to enter any spaces or dashes.
6. Click the CONTINUE button.
7. Next, choose your game account name.
8. • If you want the game account name to be different from your PlayNC master account name, complete the information under option 1 and click the CREATE GAME ACCOUNT button.
   • If you want the game account name to match your PlayNC master account name, click the CREATE GAME ACCOUNT button under option 2.
9. Next, choose your activation method. You will need to use a valid payment method in order to activate your game account.
10. • If you use a recurring payment method (credit card or ELV) you will not be charged until your included month of game time expires. You will be placed on recurring billing.
    • If you use a pre-paid payment method (PayPal®, paysafecard, or the Switch / Maestro card option) you will be charged immediately according to the payment plan you choose. The game time you purchase with these payment options will be added to the included month of game time.
    • If you use a Game Time Card, you will receive the included month of game time plus the number of days included with your specific game time card.

You will be contacted via e-mail when the account has been fully activated and is ready to be logged into.

PLEASE NOTE: We strongly recommend you save the "Game Account Activated!" e-mail sent to you after the initial activation of your game account. That e-mail contains a very important piece of information that we use to verify account ownership. You may need it if you need help with your account later. That specific piece of information is only provided in the e-mail sent after the original activation of your game account. It cannot be resent.

To ADD Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Pre-Order, Standard Edition, or Limited Collector's Edition Serial Code to an existing PlayNC master account or to UPGRADE your existing game account:

1. Log into PlayNC Account Management.

2. Click the Use a Serial Code link.

3. If you purchased your Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Standard Edition Serial Code online through your PlayNC master account, choose the option to use that serial code in the Purchased Serial Codes section and skip to Step 6.

4. If you have a serial code you received in a retail game box, select the A Standard PlayNC Code (20 digits) option.

5. Enter your serial code in the fields provided.You do not need to enter any spaces or dashes.

6. Click the CONTINUE button.

7. Select the account you wish to upgrade from the list provided.

o If you are unsure which account you would like to upgrade.

1. Return to your PlayNC Account Management page.

2. Click the Game Accounts link for each available game account.

3. Review the Account Information page for each game account to determine the one you wish to upgrade.

4. Note the game account name and return to step 2.

8. Click the UPGRADE ACCOUNT button for the game account you wish to upgrade.

You will be contacted via e-mail when the account has been fully upgraded and is ready to be logged into.

Re-issues

If you've read the above instructions and feel that you might have mistakenly applied your Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Serial Code incorrectly as a new game account instead of upgrading your existing game account, we will be happy to assist you with a code re-issue!However, we want to be sure that you are aware of the wait times you should expect for these requests. Due to popularity of Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa, you should expect your code re-issue to take as long as three business days to be processed from the time it is received with all the requested necessary information. We can assure you that we will process these requests as quickly as we possibly can.
Something else to be aware of is that the re-issue process will involve the permanent closure of your wrongly created account. Due to this, any character activity, including character names that have been used on that account, will be lost to you at the moment the re-issue is processed. If you wish to re-use a character name, you must delete that character from your incorrectly created account prior to the re-issue being processed.

Be sure to use the SUBJECT: RGTR Serial Code Re-issue. Please include the following information:

• PlayNC master account name:
• Your real name:
• 20-digit Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa Serial Code that you used:
• Game account name you created:
• Game account name you intended to upgrade:

Again, once you have submitted this information it may take as long as three business days to be processed.If you have already submitted a request for this issue, please do not submit another one if you haven't yet received a response. This will cause further delays and repetition of efforts. The Account Support Team will process your request as soon as they reach your place in the queue.
