NCsoft Europe Confirms Appointment Of Third Party Producer

Jim McDonagh starts work on secret project

NCsoft Europe is pleased to welcome Jim McDonagh as a Third Party Producer to the swelling ranks of the Brighton-based team. Jim, who was previously at Eidos, has already started work on a new project, details of which will be announced officially in the near future.

Thomas Bidaux, Director of Products, NCsoft Europe, said, “Jim is particularly savvy about online and is bringing a wealth of experience garnered from nearly a decade in the games industry, having worked on titles such as Championship Manager and Republic: The Revolution. Jim is just the first of a series of new appointments on the development side and we look forward to revealing details of his first project in the coming weeks.”

“I am very excited to be taking on this new role at NCsoft Europe,” said Jim.  “Although I have been sworn to secrecy on the details of the new project, I can tell you that it’s going to be very different and not necessarily what you would expect from NCsoft.”

About Jim McDonagh

Jim’s video games career began almost a decade ago at Ubisoft. Quickly rising through the ranks, he soon found himself working in a producer role on a wide variety of titles, including the popular Football World Manager series. Gaining experience in various managerial roles, Jim also worked on the award-winning Republic: The Revolution before stepping into a position at Eidos to oversee the production of the Championship Manager series through four successive iterations including the highly regarded PS2 and PSP versions. Jim now resides at NCsoft, looking after an as-yet-unannounced project.
